2018 SIDEWAYS 24hr by HOHK
2018 SIDEWAYS 24hr - EVENT DETAILS
The Sideways 24hr by HandsOn Hong Kong is here and on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th October 15 teams will battle it out over 24hr in a race of strategy, speed, skills, smarts, endurance and consistency. Sideways Driving Club will be providing the whole venue for 2 days and with a massively subsidized price, it will be a sellout.
The Sideways 24hr has been setup to help raise funds for HandsOn Hong Kong programs, and with a little help we hope to be able to raise much needed funds for HOHK projects such as;
- Educational programs for disadvantaged youth,
- Home visit and meal delivery to isolated elderly,
- Skills workshops for abused domestic workers,
- Packing & distribution of necessities for the homeless
- and recreational activities for children with disabilities.
Teams are required to set up their own Simply Giving page, with the hope of each team raising $10,000 HKD or more. It's as simple as setting up your Teams Page, sharing your page link to friends, family & colleagues. The setup process takes approx.10mins and full how-to details will be supplied in your Drivers Event Program once you have entered.
The entire cost of the actual event is covered directly by Sideways Driving Club and the participating teams. So, all donations go 100% to HOHK causes.
This is going to be a phenomenal event, with some fantastic prizes from Staunton’s Wine Bar & Cafe, Mumm Champagne, Punchline Comedy Club, Sideways to name just a few.
See the schedule below to understand how the event is run as a full-on 24hr race event, with every step included along the way. Pre-event practice sessions with past & present Champion Hong Kong race drivers and others, final practice on the day, qualifying, team briefings, professional race stewards and event management throughout, along with the whole experience of driving through the day, into the night with headlights and back into the morning sun rise. It's got to be experienced to be believed!
NOTE: The Sideways 24hr Circuit & Car will be revealed at the 1st Practice Session with the Pro’s on Monday 3rd Sept.
